Discover Deeper Wisdom and Lasting Insight
Welcome to ahambramhaasmi.com. This is a contemplative space dedicated to the study and practice of Vedanta. It is my personal journey of learning, reflection, and sharing, as I explore the path of self‑inquiry.
Here, you will find thoughts and insights drawn from Vedantic texts, expressed in ways that resonate with everyday seekers. My primary focus is on jñāna yoga, the path of knowledge, which invites us to discern and realize our true nature.
At the same time, I will also touch upon karma yoga, showing how selfless action supports inner clarity. In this spirit, practices like puja and homam will be explored not merely as rituals, but as offerings that deepen Vedantic enquiry.
Each reflection is an attempt to make profound ideas accessible without losing their authenticity or depth. I hope these writings illuminate my own understanding while serving as gentle guidance for fellow aspirants.
This space is meant to bridge ancient wisdom with modern life, honoring both tradition and inquiry. Together, may we walk toward the realization of non‑duality—the truth that all is one.

Understanding Vedanta
Discover the path of self-inquiry and daily reflections inspired by jñāna yoga and karma yoga practices.
Step One: Listen
Begin with karma yoga, offering actions selflessly to purify the mind (chitta śuddhi) and cultivate one‑pointedness (chitta ekāgrata). In this purified state, one engages in śravaṇa – attentive study of the śruti, receiving the revelation of ātma‑jñāna.
Step Two: Reflection
Engage in manana – reflection and reasoning, resolve doubts until no uncertainty about Brahman remains. This clarity marks the beginning of true assimilation, where knowledge starts to permeate thought and life. Here, the intellect is sharpened, and certainty about Brahman dawns, allowing knowledge to begin its integration into thought and conduct.
Step Three: Contemplate and Integrate
Finally, through nididhyāsana, contemplation matures into steady abidance. Knowledge is fully assimilated, the sense of separation dissolves, and the seeker lives as the very truth—Brahman alone. Abidance in the realization of non‑duality, living as the very truth revealed occurs.
Vedantic enquiry is not always a rigid sequence but often a living cycle. Śravaṇa (listening), manana (reflection), and nididhyāsana (contemplation) can occur side by side: as one listens to the śruti, doubts naturally arise and are clarified through reflection, while contemplation deepens the assimilation of truth. These three reinforce one another, flowing in parallel until knowledge matures into steady realization.
